The Better Vision Center treats all patients with various eye-care needs. This includes contact lenses, difficult contact lens fitting (including rigid gas permeable contact lenses), high near-sightedness, astigmatism, multifocal eyesight, multifocal astigmatism, opaqueness, Keratoconus, and corneal refractive therapy. Dr Lowitz also treats Glaucoma, diseases of the eye and surrounding tissue, pink eye, allergies, dry eye, and inflammation. If a new and stylish look is desired, Dr Lowitz treats patients who require glasses or contacts for purposes of extended wear and provides custom cosmetic colors.

Dr. Lowitz has a personal and professional interest in continually improving the comfort and performance of every contact lens he fits. He's a believer that it's "what you know after you think you
know it all, that counts" so in this vein and Dr. Lowitz is fitting state-of-the-art contact lenses on each and every one of his patients if possible. Dr. John S Lowitz, owner and founder of the Better Vision Center, was born on May 14, graduated with a degree in Agriculture and Life Sciences from the University of Maryland in 1981, and his Doctorate in Optometry as well as a bachelor's degree in Optical Physics from Southern College of Optometry in 1989. With over 22 years of Optometric experience, Dr. Lowitz loves serving patients in the Hampton Roads area who are in need of prescription lenses, contact lens fittings, glaucoma management, or just general eye health concerns. |
